In Montafon (part of Vorarlberg), near the Swiss border is the beautiful ski holiday village Gargellen. In our opinion, Gargellen is one of the most beautiful small skiing villages in the whole of Austria. Gargellen is not yet known to the masses, and visitors here are mainly locals, Swiss and a few Germans. In the village there are perfect facilities for the whole family, such as a babyslope, childcare facililties, great ski schools and lively apres-ski pubs. The snow is plenty, and even at the bottom of the village (over 1400m) the snow forecast is invariably great!

In addition to the more than 200 kilometres of ski runs, the area also offers more than 100 kilometres of cross-country runs Because most of the Montafon area is fairly high (above 1200 meters), you can be pretty sure to have good snow conditions. This village is quiet, but the varied Austrian and Swiss cuisine take you to a culinary summit here! The apres-ski is limited, but the bars and disco in the center of Gargellen are very nice.
