Near the city of Mozart, Salzburg in the Osterhorn region is the ski holiday village Hintersee. With a number of other small villages around Salzburg, together with Hintersee is the Vacation area Fuschlsee. The ski area of Hintersee is integrated with Gaißau and has the nickname Winterfreuden. The ski area extends to the edge of the nearby lake that is also called Hintersee. The ski area is especially popular with families, for children the facilities are perfect!

The Gaiß au Hintersee ski area in Osterhorn is not very large, but especially for a family ski holiday, it offers more than enough. For the more advanced skiers there is a spicy mogul slopes from the Wieserhorndl (approximately 1600m). Besides good snow conditions all year round, the slopes are also almost all on the sunny side of the hill!
