The ski holiday village Hochficht lies in the ski resort Mühlviertel in the region Upper Austria. Hochficht is located in one of the northern regions of Austria, near the border triangle. Numerous long gentle slopes in a beautiful skiing area full with wooden chalets.

Actually, each village has its own small ski resort in this region. Bad Leonfelden has the ski area around the Sternstein Lifte, with about 10km of slopes. Sandl also offers approximately 5 km slopes, the ski area of Sandl / Viehberg (with 2 small lifts). The ski area of Hochficht is the largest of these three villages and offers approximately 20km of slopes.

In Hochficht there is a small snow-park down in the village. Thanks to some snow cannons, there snow always stays in this area. The offpiste possibilities are more limited in this area, but for the novice snowboarder there is plenty to learn.
