The charming and very popular Kaprun is part of the Europe Sportregion and has two mountains for winter sports, the Kitzsteinhorn and the Schmittenhöhe (Maiskogel). In the summer, the die-hard snowboarders and skiers can go to Kaprun as well. On the glacier of the Kitzsteinhorn, the snow is always good with 40 kilometres of slopes! Europe Sportregion has 130 kilometers of slopes for all levels and offers beautiful slopes. At the bottom of the valley lies the village of Zell am See, which, together with Kaprun, forms the Europe Sportregion.
