The very popular and snowy ski area 'Zell am See-Kaprun' is located in the Salzburg region in Austria. It includes the ski resorts of Kaprun-Kitzsteinhorn, Kaprun-Maiskogel and Zell am See. Even in summertime it is possible to ski on the Kitzensteinhorn glacier which extends up to 3,203 meters! In wintertime there is also a second major mountain, the Schmittenhöhe (ski area up to 2000 meters). More than 70 percent of all slopes are fitted with snow cannons. Good snow conditions are ensured during the whole season.

For a long time the Zell am See-Kaprun has been a snowboard Mecca whit 1 halfpipe, 2 funparks and 5 quarterpipes! All very easy to reach with the ski lifts. If you're a freedrider you'll enjoy the Magnetköpfl' or the 'Langwied' run.
