About Lake Louise

Lake Louise Ski Resort is located in the province of Alberta in the Canadian Rockie Mountains. Less than 90 kilometers from the airport of Calgary (known for the ice rink and Olympic games) is an excellent ski resort. Besides great ski and snowboard opportunities in Lake Louise you can also enjoy a fun nightlife, a great selection of restaurants and entertainment in the form of ice skating, sleigh riding and of course snowmobiling. The ski area, together with Sunshine Village and Banff Norquay is also called SKI Big 3 and is situated in the area of Banff National Park.

Snowboarding Lake Louise

For freestyle snowboarders, Lake Louise Ski area has just re-opened the famous Louise funpark area in January 2009 completely renewed. With a staggering 26 barriers / obstacles imagine yourself in a freestyle Mecca. In addition to this beautiful freestyle terrain park, there is obviously an extended off-piste choice, where you can enjoy delicious fresh snow (the area gets 454 cm average snowfall each year).

Skischools Lake Louise

The Telus Winter Sports School in Lake Louise ski area, provides lessons for skiers, snowboarders and special programs for private lessons, ladies only and also for children. The lesson groups are classified at skill level after the first day. The Telus Winter Sports School has approximately 80 ski instructors; there are also many mountain guides who are not part of the ski school (you can reach them at: skischool@skilouise.com).
