About Beaufortain

The Beaufortain region is located in the Savoie in an area near the town of the Albertville Olympics. Beaufortain includes three different villages: Areches, Beaufort and La Planay, but Les Saisies, Hauteluce, Queige and Viallard are also geographically part of the area. The small chalets and cabins can often be heated by chopping wood yourself for the fireplace. The local cuisine is exquisite, including the local cheese - the Beaufort.
