About Chamonix

Right next to the Mont Blanc, in the Haute Savoie, resides the famous Chamonix ski resort. It covers the slopes around the village of Les Houches, and Argentière is also nearby. Chamonix village, where the first Winter Olympics ever took place, forms a combination of extremes. Both expensive, modern or old-fashioned as cheaper accommodation are available. The sled-park is enormous, and certainly an attraction, but the lift up the Mont Blanc (to Aguille du Midi) is even more impressive.

Snowboarding Chamonix

For advanced snowboarders, Chamonix is fantastic! Even if the snow is not optimal in other areas, around the Aguille du Midi freestyle material is always present. For novice snowboarders, the slopes around les Houches are especially suitable. The parks around Grands Montets, Brevent, Fleregè and natural half pipe at the tour, this is a winning-destination for snowboarders!
