One of the two parts of the Paradiski ski resort is La Plagne (together with the ski area around Les Arcs). Champagny en Vanoise is a charming little village in the area of La Plagne. The village Champagny is situated at 1250 m altitude. The valley above the village at 1450 meters altitude has been appointed French natural heritage. This is obviously not least because the entrance is Champagny to the La Vanoise national park.

The Vanoise Express lift connects the slopes and it is the only one of its kind and one of the fastest and largest gondolas in the world. The slopes around the Col des Frettes and Col du Grand Retard are fun for different ability levels. The advanced find the slopes around the Aiguille Rouge in 2000 and around the Arc Villaroger challenging.
