The largest ski resort village of Le Grand Serre Chevalier is Chantmerle (Serre Che 1350). Chantmerle is not only the main village in the ski resort, the many ski lifts also ensure that the entire ski resort is perfectly accessible. Chantemerle is the home of triple Olympic champion Luc Alphand. One of the most beautiful and challenging black slopes in the ski area bears his name.
