The ski resort Cavalese is the largest village of Val di Fiemme (Fleimstal), with around 3600 inhabitants. Cavalese is located in Trentino in the Italian Dolomites. Because of the size of this resort, the facilities in Cavalase are very good. This varies from shops, bars to other forms of entertainment, like a beautiful ice ring. The Alpe Cermis ski area is located near Cavalese, and there is also a superb cross country trail by Lavazè Pass.

The ski area of Fleimstal is formed by the two ski centers of Latemar and Alpe Cermis. Most ski runs are easy to intermediate. The whole ski area is remarkably well maintained and spacious. Most days it is possible to ski directly from the hotel to the piste. Furthermore, the Fleimstal is known for the 150 km Olympic tracks.
