The ski resort Santa Cristina is located in ski area Val Gardena in the Italian Dolomites. Santa Christina is not the smallest village in the Valley, but it does have a lot less cozy village centre than for instance Selva or Ortisei. Santa Cristina stretches out along a long road through the village and has little to offer except the skiing. The ski area however is well connected and you can take a bus from Santa Christina to one of the other ski resorts in the valley.

Val Gardena is very suitable for an active ski holiday. The impressive Dolomites give you a lot of opportunities. The ski area offers challenges for all ability levels, there is a broad and wide range of slopes. Those who still want more can visit the gigantic Dolomiti Superski, of which Val Gardena is part of.

The après-ski in Santa Cristina is very limited and offers a lot less choice than for example Ortisei and Selva. At the bottom of the slopes is the 'Crazy Pub'.

In the ski area of Val Gardena, snowboarders are allowed on all slopes, but you will find most snowboarders on the Piz Sella and on the Alpe di Siusi. There are two boardercrosses, a half pipe and a fun park for the kids.
