The small ski resort Valtournanche is located in the ski area of Breuil-Cervinia, on the outskirts of the Italian and Swiss border. Valtournanche is small compared to the much better known (Breuil-) Cervinia. Valtournanche may be small, but it offers beautiful views and it is connected to the ski lifts network.

The ski slopes of Breuil-Cervinia, or rather Cervinia are connected to the slopes Val Tournenche, which on the Italian side alone has over 100 km of slopes available. The ski slopes are almost all red, but even the black runs are good to do for advanced skiers. The connection of the Plateau Rosa with Zermatt ensures more exciting and challenging ski slopes to Swiss side for the more experienced skiers or snowboarders. Do not forget to buy the tickets for the Swiss section already down in the valley station, because they are much cheaper thanif buy them when you arrive at the Plateau Rosa!

There are three major ski schools in Cervinia the Scuola Di Sci Del Breuil, the Scuola Di Sci Matterhorn Cervinia and the Scuola Di Sci Cervino. In total those three ski schools offer more than 200 ski instructors! Scuola di Sci del Cervino is by far the largest of these ski schools in Cervinia and has a separate program for children!
