The Geilo ski resort is located in the Oppland region. The ski resort Geilo is located in the Oppland region in Norway. Geilo is located on the Hardangervidda plateau, and has great snow because of this high position. The ski lifts are sometimes even above 3800 meters! This plateau is receiving increasing links with other ski areas (Geilolia Ski Centre and Kikut). Geilo is especially popular as a destination for families with children. The slopes are especially suitable for novice and intermediate skiers. It is one of the most popular ski resorts in Norway and a village which has exactly the right mix between sporting activities, nightlife and natural beauty. The après-ski in Geilo is centered around a few small bars that are certainly worthwhile. Lille Blå Cafè & Bara are highly recommended!

Snowboarding Geilo

Geilo offers three snowparks for snowboarders. ?Unique? is the coolest superpipe of Norway! There are jumps for all skill levels.

Skischools Geilo

There are as many as 5 different ski schools in Geilo. In total, all ski schools in Geilo have more than 100 ski instructors. There are lessons in skiing, cross-country skiing, snowboarding, or even special training in jumping and other tricks. Of course all ski instructors speak English.
