The Hemsedal is located in Oppland region. The ski area includes the ski resort Hemsedal. Hemsedal is especially known for its excellent snow conditions. It is therefore one of the most popular ski resorts with alpine skiers. These excellent conditions do not have so much to do with the height of the ski area, as well as with the climate. Hemsedal offers a decent nightlife but most of all it is a chalet village with a couple of restaurants here and there. All in all, Hemsedal is mainly focused on the sporty winter activities. Although it can not be compared with the après-ski in the Alps you can enjoy the nightlife until the late hours.

Snowboarding Hemsedal

The possibilities for snowboarders are unprecedented. There is a 600 meters long snowboard park, which has nearly 300 meters decent. The park is mainly suited for advanced snowboarders. It is divided into an advanced section and a novice section. There are halfpipes, jumps, tabletops, corner, quarterpipes, big jumps, wood boxes and rails.

There are 2 ski schools in Hemsedal, with a total of 60 ski instructors. These two ski schools are the Hemsedal Ski Centre and the Solheisen Ski Centre.
