About Paltinis

Paltinis is located in the Cindrel Mountains in central Romania. Paltinis is situated near the larger town of Sibiu and can best be reached by train. Paltinis is the oldest ski resort in Romania, and was founded in 1894 by an association, the Verein Siebenbuergischer Carpathians (SKV). Three historic houses from that time are still preserved in the resort. At an altitude of 1450 meter, Paltinis is also the highest ski resort in Romania.
