The ski resort of Poiana Brasov is located near the ancient city of Brasov, in the province Transylvania in the Postaravu Mountains in Romania. This is also where Dracula allegedly lived in the Bran Castle, which is nearby. Ski Center Poiana Brasov is easy to reach, at about 165km from the capital of Romania, Bucharest. When you arrive in Poiana Brasov you're between four major mountain peaks, the Postavaru (1799m), Piatra Mare (1848m), the Bucegi (2505m) and the Piatra Craiului (2238m). The Romanian ouveau-riche can be found in this area, but comparing to western standards, the prices are very attractive here!
