The Vall de Nuria ski area is a typical small Spanish ski resort in the Catalan section of the (East) Pyrenees. Close to Figueres and Girona, and also within bridging distance of larger cities such as Barcelona and Perpignan, Vall de Nuria is a popular ski destination for a weekend of skiing. Vall de Nuria is situated in the area of La Garotxa. Through the many cities in the area, you can also easily come here by plane, and take the train for the last few kilometers from the Ribes Freser (this is the only way to reach the valley)
