About Aletsch

The Aletsch lies in a region of Valais in Switzerland which is also called the Oberes Rhonetal. The entire area is located in the German-speaking part of the Rhonetal. The largest ski resort in the region comprises three parts: Bettmeralp, Fiescheralp (Fiesch village), and Riederalp. Of course the ultimate experience is the Aletsch glacier, where you can ski almost all year round. The area around the Blatten-Belalp is also fairly big, and there is enough challenge for each level of winter sports enthusiasts. The small villages Bellwald, Brig, Goms / Oberwald, Ernen, and Binn also belong to this ski area. Most of these villages have their own (smaller) ski resort, but often provide the ability to buy a ski pass at little extra cost for the larger area! Most villages are free of cars and offer excellent facilities for the youngest among us. The Aletsch is therefore a must for families with children!

Snowboarding Aletsch

The area offers a wide variety of snowboarding possibilities, with three different fun parks, two boarder crosses, four halfpipes, and two quarterpipes!.Because these facilities are spread out among the various participating ski areas, we recommend that snowboarders use the slopes around Riederalp-Bettmeralp-Fiescheralp, where the bulk of these facilities can be found!

Skischools Aletsch

Each small ski-holiday village has its own ski school in the Aletsch. The ski schools include the Alpin-Snowsportschule Ernen, Schneesportschule Belalp, Schneesportschule Bellwald, Schweizer Ski-und Snowboardschule of Bettmeralp, Snow Ski School Passion Bettmeralp, Skischule Fiesch / Fiescheralp, Skischule Münster-Geschinen and the Swiss Snow League in tiny villages Reckingen-Gluringen and Graftlschaft. The ski schools of Fiesch and Bettmeralp in particular are very large.
