The ski resort Amden lies in the ski area Flumserberg in eastern Switzerland. This small ski resort is at about 1 hour drive east of Zürich. Amden is a small mountain village just above Weesen at the Lake Walen. Despite the slightly lower altitude, this area often has enough snow to keep all ski slopes open.

The ski resort of Flumserberg boasts 65 km of versatile and diverse ski slopes. The relatively large number of black runs in this area makes it attractive for advanced and expert skiers. The off-piste opportunities in Flumserberg are also great. Guides can take you to discover these beautiful powder-snow descents. Amden has about 20 km of ski slopes and is especially attractive for starting skiers. Kerenzerberg has but 8 km of ski slopes.

Amden is sleeping village. There is no nightlife here at all. There are only a few chalets and cottages.
Snowboarden in Amden
The Real Obstacle Park on the Prodkamm is a feast for the demanding snowboarder. Besides beautiful modules and a number of high-jumps, there is always music and often entertainment and/or live shows. (The park is sponsored by Atomic and Eleven, both well-known skiing brands.) The Carlsberg Snowpark is situated between the Prodkamm and the Prodalp and also has a number of high-jumps and modules that are worthwhile. It also includes two different boarder crosses where races are often held.
