The ski resort Bettmeralp is located in the ski area Aletsch in the Wallis region. It is one of the biggest attractions in the region. Together with the other ski resorts Belalp-Blatten-Naters, Bellwald, Brig, Fiesch (Fiescheralp) and the Riederalp, Bettmeralp makes the Aletsch ski area. Betten / Betttmeralp is a great attraction for tourists, partly because of its extensive facilities for families with children. Bettmeralp has a traffice free-centre and offers a nice snowboardpark and cross/country trails. Besides all these facilities, the village is very beautiful because of the fantastic landscapes and the natural surroundings! The towncentre is on the UNESCO World heritage list.

The Aletsch offers a large variety of trails for every level skier or snowboarder. The small ski areas like in Bellwald, Brig, Goms / Oberwald, and Ernen Binn offer a modest ski area with a number of lifts with red slopes. Blatten-Belalp has a total of 20 km slopes for all levels (blue / red / black) and is therefore the most diverse. Riederalp-Bettmeralp-Fiescheralp has more than 100 km of slopes which are blue and red. Enormously challenging black runs around the Blatten-Belalp and the Aletsch Glacier (Riederalp-Bettmeralp-Fiescheralp) make the area popular with experienced skiing and snowboarding fans.

The apres-ski in Bettmeralp is not very extensive, but on top of the mountain are a number of delicious terraces. The discotheque Bachtla is very nice!

Snowboarden in Bettmeralp

The area offers a wide variety of snowboarding possibilities, with three different fun parks, two boarder crosses, four halfpipes, and two quarterpipes!.Because these facilities are spread out among the various participating ski areas, we recommend that snowboarders use the slopes around Riederalp-Bettmeralp-Fiescheralp, where the bulk of these facilities can be found!
