The ski resort Braunwald is located in the ski area Braunwald-Elm in Eastern Switzerland . Braunwald is one of the smaller ski resorts in Switzerland. There is a local ski area with about 30 kilometers of pistes, spread over 10 slopes, unlocked by 8 lifts. Despite the relatively low altitude of Branuwald, it still has good snow conditions, which has everything to do with the 12 snow cannons. The intermediate skiers can entertain themselves very well here. The centre of Braunwald is traffic free. For such a small ski resort, Braunwald has surprisingly much variation to offer. There is a 50 meter long halfpipe and boardercross for snowboarders and a fun park, especially for the smallest children.

The slopes in this ski area are mainly centered around Elm. Semi-advanced skiers can enjoy red and black runs for a week, as the ski slopes present enough challenge. Braunwald, and nearby Filzbach, also have a number of their own ski slopes.
