About Grächen

The ski resort Grächen lies in the Matterhorn Valley in Wallis. In addition to being a ski destination, Grächen also includes the small village of St. Niklaus. The ski area is located between the much better known ski resorts of Zermatt and Saas-Fee. The ski resort at Matterhorn Valley lies below the enormous (4478 m) mountain giant, Matterhorn, adjacent to Zermatt. In addition to 40 miles of varied ski trails the field also has a very lively apres-ski geared to families with kids. Few other areas in Europe have nearly 300 sunny days per year and great snow reports as a virtual certainty as they have in Grächen. Here, you will have more than enough time for tanning!

Snowboarding Grächen

For snowboarders, this area has maintained a good fun park and a beautiful boarder cross. Off-piste possibilities as a snowboarder or freestyler are also good. Take a guide if you are still not as experienced, as there are particularly steep runs.

Skischools Grächen

There are two ski schools in Grächen with about 60 ski instructors in the peak season.
