Klosters is located in the Graubünden region in Switzerland. The ski resort has a long history. Together with Davos, Klosters makes the ski resort Davos-Klosters, consisting of several different sectors. The beautiful church tower of the monastery is indicative of the old town. Klosters has still retained its original charm, and unlike Davos there are no large flats but the majority of the accommodations still are authentic chalets. The two parts of the ski resort Klosters-Dorf and Klosters Platz are both well-located and have a good lift connection with the slopes. The most famous guests settle in Klosters, like the English royal family - who comes here almost every year.

The entire skiing area offers more than 200 kilometers of ski runs, unlocked by 50 lifts. The field of Parsenn includes 40 descents where winter sports enthusiasts of all levels are perfectly able to entertain themselves. For the real experts, most descents are perhaps a little too boring. The local instructors then are happy to show you the way to more challenging ski runs, such as those starting from the Weissfluhgipfel. The smaller Madrisa is suitable for beginners and slightly advanced skiers.

The apres-ski is quietly in Klosters but there is a broad range of snackbars, restaurants and terraces. Just as in the adjacent Davos there are a lot of wellness packages.

Snowboarden in Klosters

Davos through the years has been one of the top snowboarding areas in the world. The biggest fun parks are located around the Jakobshorn, yet in all ski areas, there are ample snowboarding possibilities. There are halfpipes, rails, rolls, kicks, quarterpipes, and boarder cross parks. The most impressive is called the Nidecker Monster and is 100 meters long and 5.5 meters high. It is located in the Sunrise Snowpark at more than 2500 meters above sea level.
