Rigi is located in the Vitznau-Rigi region around the Vierwaldstättersee. This region (Rigi-Vierwaldstättersee) is also known as the Central Swiss Riviera. The ski resorts in this region include: Gersau, Küssnacht am Rigi, Vitznau, Weggis and Rigi. In the summertime, this area is very popular for its mountains and water, but also in the winter, this is an absolute must. With about 10km ski slopes in the local ski area, you can say that Vitznau Rigi-Bahn has a modest ski area, but there are more than 100km hiking trails in the mountains and along the lake. A place of serenity and beautiful nature!

The apres-ski is modest in the area around Rigi. Apart from a few restaurants and four bars Weggis has an especially nice complement with two beautiful wellness hotels: Rössli and Graziella.
