Saas-Fee lies in the Saastal in Valais in Switzerland. The locals call Saas-Fee the Pearl of the Alps. This name does not say too much. With great runs and a fantastic village, Saas-Fee seems to have it all! It is a destination which is very popular with families because of the very extensive childcare and large ski school for kids. The baby piste is very extensive, and keeps the children therefore busy for a number of days. Besides the winter sport fun there is enough to undertake in Saas-Fee, including a very nice toboggan run of about 7km, delicious wellness centers and great restaurants.

With 13 snow-capped mountains over 4,000 meters high, this area is perhaps the most snow-certain throughout Switzerland. On Allalin, one of the mountains you can ski naturally year-round, and lower in the village, where snow cannons and machines produce snow, both offer almost the exact same snow report. This ski area is for the serious skier, with red and black ski runs and a multitude of off-piste possibilities. On top of the Feeglacier, it is a real mecca for the experienced skiing or snowboarding fans.

Saas-Fee is known as one of the quieter but more varied apres-ski in Switzerland. The Apres-ski consists of a large number of nice cafes and 3 discotheques. The terraces half along the slopes become crowded after 3 pm, especially Mühle, Derby and Christiana are very pleasant. When you've had a delicious meal, and you make a real evening of apres-ski, the Metropol is very pleasant, and a winner until late is the Popcorn. The Poison is something hipper, but you should definitely not miss it! The connoisseurs should really go eat at the restaurant Fletschhorn, by far the best restaurant in the region.

Especially in the ski resort Saas-Fee, snowboarders can go all the way, with the snow park, Mittel, and a huge variety in off-piste and snow powder possibilities! Because of the many snow-making machines around this boarder park, there is enough snow, even in the off-season to go snowboarding in the Saastal.
